McDonald’s $5 Meal Deal is sticking around a bit longer.
According to Bloomberg, 93% of McDonald’s locations have committed to selling the meal deal past the initial four-week window that started in June.
McDonald’s goal with the $5 Meal Deal was to get customers stung by inflation back into its restaurants. Early performance indicates it’s doing just that.
McDonald’s is not alone:
- Starbucks announced new $5 and $6 breakfast combos in June
- Burger King launched its $5 Your Way Meal just two weeks after reports of McDonald’s deal
- Deal Taco introduced its Real Deal menu of 9 items priced under $2 in early July
The fast food value wars are heating up.
