Robo-parking is a growing trend in luxury real estate.

For example, the Brickell House, a high-rise condominium building in Miami, features automated parking for residents where dozens of busy robots whisk cars to and from parking lots. The futuristic 24/7 robo-parking operation incorporates dozens of lasers, hundreds of bar codes embedded in the floors, and various other technologies to make it run smoothly.

The $20-80K per spot is expensive, but better-utilized parking space could free up square footage for residences. At luxury apartments like the Brickell House, where the asking price of a 5-bedroom penthouse is $15MM, the ROI is becoming more apparent, and thus, we’re seeing more robo-parking in New York, Miami, LA, etc.
