Apple’s brand has always tried to appeal to the young and hip, but with more people turning 65 this year than ever before, it is also starting to cater to older customers.
- Company executives mentioned “sleep apnea” a dozen times at Apple’s Glowtime event before introducing a new feature on the Apple Watch that measures breathing disturbances
- Apple’s AirPod demo centered on “hearing loss” instead of sound or audio quality
Apple is not the only brand that is making a bid for older customers. Costco has expanded its offerings to include more items specifically targeted at older adults, and Nestle plans to launch new lines of packed foods for the aging population.
