How Chuck E. Cheese remade itself
Chuck E. Cheese posted ~$200MM in EBITDA last year.
That is pretty impressive, considering they filed for bankruptcy four years ago.
The recent success can be attributed to meeting the expectations of modern families. Today’s fun centers feature new amenities the entire family can enjoy—free WiFi, device plug-ins, interactive dance floors, trampoline zones, new games, and the first-ever grown-up menu.
Chuck E. Cheese’s unlimited monthly membership program, which allows families to visit as often as they want, play up to 250 games per day, and enjoy discounts of up to 50% off most food and drinks, has also been a huge hit, especially for families hit hard by inflation. This year, they sold 350,000 Summer Fun Passes at $7.99.
Chuck E. Cheese got with the times and is back to being a family favorite.
