How Elon Musk's political clout with Trump is enriching his companies.

Elon Musk’s relationship with Trump is already paying dividends for his business interests.

We are starting to see government concessions concerning Musk’s businesses.

For example, Starlink, Musk’s satellite business, must share equity with local partners to operate in South Africa. Musk wants South Africa’s government to change the rules so they can operate there without following that requirement. His new advisor position in Trump’s admin is helping the deal move toward the finish line.

Musk’s political clout with Trump is also helping him in India, where he’s secured lower import tariffs for Tesla’s vehicles, and in Argentina, where SpaceX has become more active.

Many foreign governments already wanted to do business with Musk. Now that he has the U.S. President-elect's ear, this trend is accelerating and making it harder for some governments, like Taiwan, which doesn't want to use Starlink, to resist.
